Bere Barley is a historic, almost forgotten barley variety. We are proud to be the only Scottish whisky distillery currently working with Bere Barley, as the cultivation of old varieties ensures biodiversity. The rediscovered grain gives our single malt an unrivalled creamy, oily texture. Bere Barley has a particularly intense, almost earthy-cereal flavour profile, yet is rich in fruit and citrus flavours and malty sweetness. The interplay of first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill Pauillac wine casks ensures a perfect harmony of malty sweetness, fruit, grain and wood. Age: 10 years
